Audioplacid
Matthias Herbst is an autodidact. Everything he develops musically, he has taught himself. The abilities to realize his compositions were earned by hard work. Already at an age of 13 MH started out experimenting with music software. Soon sample software from E-Jay no longer challenged Matthias Herbst as it only allowed to combine prearranged music modules in different settings. Matthias Herbst wanted to compose his music by his own means. Finally he found his means with "Fruity Loops" via "Reason". In 2003 fate struck Matthias. He was hospitalized after being involved in a motorcycle accident. Later his monthlong recovery in hospital turned out to be luck. Matthias had time and muse to develop contacts to recording companies. Only 17 years old he celebrated his first successful publications of his recordings. Today at 21 Matthias has reached a point where he technically and musically can compete with the scene's big ones - his past idols. The apprentice has beat his masters. It is time to use his abilities and to forward his art to a large publicity.
Already in 2000 Matthias started the project "Audioplacid" with his friend Martin Donath. The first success was achieved when the song "Octobersky" was published. The resonance to Audioplacid on the internet - at its time and for the times technical possibilities - was gigantic. Some thousands fans downloaded almost every song by Audioplacid from the internet. Martin's musical interest was not entirely trance, so Mathias decided to continue the project on his own. In no time the largest internet radio broadcaster "Digitally Imported" had set focus on Audioplacid and put some of the project's songs on rotation. Even net-fores like trance.nu approached Matthias wanting to support his project "Audioplacid". Today Audioplacid has many faithful fans around the globe and is presented on many top selling compilations.
