my current musical method is a reactive combination of a few things: one being my taking issue with the current fetish of "sound quality" over "song quality," where so-called production values override creativity. i think some of the most beautiful songs are ones that knowingly craft aural imperfections. another is a nostalgic peculiarity from listening to older dance sets with all the recording quirks ingrained. and, also, the realization that some of the most affecting music i've heard has been charged with an insular, quieter sentiment. i am about atmosphere, texture, and uncommon melody. thanks for listening!
