BIOGRAPHY: DJ::Producer, Jonathan Allyn has been consistently recognized by the media, its artists and crowds across the nation for his tough, melodically progressive, techno trance DJ sets and productions. Globally his productions have crossed the boundaries of the United States to receive support from artists such as Christopher Lawrence who was recently voted the #7 DJ in the World by BPM'S 2005 prestigious DJ Poll. Currently residing in Atlanta, GA this Los Angeles transplant found his love for trance after spending more than ten years in the Punk scene. From living on the streets to jumping freight trains across the United States, dance music culture and a few good people within that scene played a large part in Jonathans ability to succeed outside of what he knew best, life on the streets. It was within those realms that music always stood at the forefront and to this day, Jonathan's inspiration for his DJ sets and productions come in part largely of what inspired him in the past as well as the beauty in life that inspires him today. For Jonathan it is about finding those common threads between the two cultures and blending them together through music. After relocating to Atlanta from LA, the transition to a DJ was made in 2000. Since then, Jonathan Allyn has built a solid reputation with a fan base that spans from San Francisco to Washington DC. During this time Jonathan has played with some of the Worlds Top Artists in many different cities; some of which include Ferry Corsten, Christopher Lawrence, Jimmy Van M, Sandra Collins, Deepsky and many more at a number of the Worlds top Clubs including Mixer Magazines #1 Club night in the United States for 2001 & 2002 Buzz at Nations in Washington DC, The Church in Denver and More! In addition to DJ'ing & Producing, in June 2004, Jonathan's inherent love for the music, coupled by the desire to help it move forward resulted in new calling; promoting. Since then Jonathan has established a very successful production company called SURFACE by focusing on the music and its people. Presently, Jonathan is working with all major booking agencies and many of their artists at one of Atlanta's premier clubs, The Mark Atlanta, Compound & Eleven 50. With more than 30 events with everyone from DJ Dan to Doc Martin, Christopher Lawrence, Chris Fortier, Jimmy Van M, Micro and many more gracing the decks for SURFACE, Jonathan is excited about what is in store ahead. This combined experience, hard work and dedication to a sound so close to him, coupled by his love and passion for the scene and its music has enabled Jonathan to rise above the rest. Its the music that drives his soul and the passion for connecting with the crowds through music that is his deepest reward.
