Coventry based Electrofly is a label you'll undoubtedly be paying a lot of attention to in coming months. The brainchild of Keith McDonnell, Producer ( innate) and label manager / co-owner of the much lauded Baroque imprint,
Electrofly will be delivering album projects & singles from established & new artists such as Shiloh, Fretwell, Infekt, Pete Gawtry & Jono Fernandez. alongside remixes from the likes of Rennie Pilgrem, Blim and Wrecked Angle to the breaks masses in 2003.
Although the label will be strongly influenced by quality breaks, that doesn't confide it to just that. In fact the first release on the label, 'will u ever come around' by Shiloh, is a beautifully crafted slice of downbeat, vocal electronica that doesn't ignore funk or soul and tips it's hat to the class of early William Orbit !
In fact Shiloh are the first label artists penned in for an album, being already half way through it as we speak, and everyone @ electrofly is already very excited about their fresh downbeat / leftfield sound.
keith mcdonnell:
We really have got some quality artists on board for electrofly, and the mixture of guys like Shiloh making really cool leftfield / electro stuff as well as more up tempo breaks, alongside some of the others like Fretwell making full on dancfloor driven breaks is really exciting and inspiring. It also means we are already planning our first artist album.
