Born in 1980 in Pittsburg, PA, Peter Martin possesses an unfathomable level of talent for his young age. Peter studied classical music, taking piano and violin lessons for over 10 years. He was actively involved in semi-professional and professional theater, playing his violin for several orchestras, plays and musicals. At 16, a friend introduced him to House music and he began experimenting with electronica. A year later, he cashed in a college savings bond to buy his first computer to create his first compositions. Since 1997, he has spent the past several years immersed in experimenting with electronic music and DJing. After traveling the US soul-searching, Peter finally settled in Austin, Texas in 2005; two years after meeting Derek Howell in 2003. They have collaborated on several successful singles under the guises of Pinkbox Special and The Alley Qats. His original compositions include features on Paul Oakenfolds Creamfields, several Global Underground compilations, and numerous other projects. World-class DJs, such as Armin Van Burren, Pete Tong, Sander Kleinenberg, Nick Warren and countless others have sampled his tracks in their own compilations. Peter draws from a long list of influences that span from an extensive kaleidoscope of sound textures and emotions.
