What do you get when you put Bill Hamel and Brad Dobbs together? Two guys who love what they do for a living. Bill Hamel, Founder of Sunkissed Records and Teknology Recordings and Brad Dobbs, Label Manager, are two of the hardest working guys in the industry. From traveling to such places as Ibiza, Mexico, Los Angeles and Miami for gigs to just being involved in the dance scene. They have definitely made a positive impact on the dance community. Bill Hamel first started Sunkissed Records in 1996. Hamel moved to Orlando, FL in 1994 to attend college and became hooked on the local dance scene. By 1996 he was steadily DJing and learning about how dance music was created. He decided to start his own label to get his singles out to the underground dance community; Sunkissed Records, (Americas leading Progressive House label) was born. Feeling the need to have two avenues for his musical output, in 2000 Hamel decided to start Teknology Recordings. Teknology is focused more towards the less peak time and more laid back tracks, while Sunkissed is mainly focused on peak time dance tracks. 2000 was also the year Brad Dobbs started working for Sunkissed and Teknology. Brad is the Label manager for both labels. He is responsible for signing tracks to Sunkissed and Teknology as well as guest relations and A & R work. Brad certainly has his work cut out for him and does a great job keeping both labels running smoothly.
