Exclusively available through audiojelly in Europe Back in January 1999, a new, genetic-like mutation in nowadays music gave birth to the first Scanner release A new era has started, while founder-creator Mike Dierickx, a.k.a. M.I.K.E., Push, Plastic Boy, and producer of Yves Deruyter and many other aliases set up a brand new vinyl label with home base Lightning Records. Scanner Records stands for pure minimalist rhythms with progressive touch, back to basics in the most original form of beat-music. Kick off was given by Calling the Freak when Noise Shaping & daylight, followed by Mystic Friends, Liquid Overdose and Walky Talky. Both Mystic Friends and Walky Talky draw the attention of several big UK DJs and scored big time, even spreading all over the world as Calling the Freak and Aldo M scanned and took massive control over Europe, even reached South-Africa... Scanner artist like Calling the Freak, Aldo M, Guy Naets, Zigi, Scanner-boy and Olli G and big talented producer Frederic De Backer, joined forces to the Scanner Tribe to make Scanner what it is today: pure sound from soul! Credits are already earned as different DJs are playing the Scanner sound. Timo Maas, Dave Clarke, Steve Lawler, Marco V and YDR are a few of the admirers amongst us. After already a score of 14 banging, subliminal clubbing dance music, we keep continuing producing the finest tunes and keep your feet moving around. The Scanner Attack continues, as from September 2002 the decision was made to run Scanner Records independently under Syndromeproduktunes.
