Although the sound of Trance has been established for sometime, a particular sub genre has emerged as an exciting new sound. Paul Van Dyk has labelled the genre 'Nu-School Dutch Techno' but it is more commonly known as Tech-Trance. Soup Recordings UK wish to push this sound further, help it develop and essentially support its artists in giving them the exposure they deserve. The label is a creation of Stuart Mort a.k.a Freesoup and is based in York in the UK. Since 2003 Stuart has been playing at club nights across the country with crowds showing a keen interest in his DJ-ing style. In September 2005, Soup Recordings was created to cater for this crowd and similar DJ's, in hope of spreading the love for the sound on club systems worldwide.
