In November this year 3 Beat Records will celebrate its 18th birthday. 3 beat started off its life as a record Shop, soon adding a label, a digital store and a label management company under its umbrella. During this time the Shop has undertaken a few makeovers and moves, been nominated for various awards including winning the music week Independent retailer of the year award in 2005. The digital store is now one of the leading download stores in the World working in unison with the record shop. The label management company counts the unique and highly collectible Label border community amongst its exclusive clients. Finally the actual recording label started of its life in 1992 spawning the hits 'Oceanic  Insanity' and 'New Atlantic - I Know'. 3 Beat then worked alongside the seminal ffrr Label creating more massive hits such as 'Berri - Sunshine After The Rain', 'Kendoh - I Need a Lover', 'Pianoman  Blurred', 'Lisa Marie Experience - keep on Jumpin and 'Do That To Me', For a brief moment the label worked with Warners on their Their hugely successful act Dario G who created hits such as Sunchyme, Carnaval de Paris, & Dream on me. In 2002 the label switched its name to Boss Records hooking up with the mighty ministry of sound to release even More chart and club hits, amongst them 'Angel City - Love Me Right', 'Do You Know', 'Aaron Smith - Dancin, 'Studio B - I See Girls', 'Mason ft Princess Superstar  Exceeder'. In July 2007 3 beat finally decided to go back to releasing records under its own ident and now has moved to work alongside Universal music. Expect more huge club records and hopefully hits in the not too distant future and be sure to wish Us a happy birthday in a couple of months time. The label has 3 full time staff. Jon Barlow who started 3 beat way back in 1989, Anton Powers a successful club and Radio DJ in his own right is Head Of A&R, and Label Manager Tim Condran who oversees all aspects of the label.
