ACDC was founded in 2003 in Gothenburg, Sweden as an addition to Spiral Trax Label Group. The label was set up to cater for progressive, tribal and tech-house releases by fresh talents as well as established producers. Due to the immediate success ACDC soon became the main label and first priority for the label group. Only fifteen releases down the line and ACDC has already gained much support from some of the most well renowned DJs on the international circuit making ACDC the leading Scandinavian progressive house label. Big names such as Paul Oakenfold and Paul van Dyk, John Digweed and John 00 Flemming, Seb Fontaine, Anthony Pappa and Hernan Cattaneo, Armin van Buuren and Sander Kleinenberg have all supported the label at one point or another. ACDC is also a monthly nightclub event that aims to bring upfront dance music to Gothenburg. A row of international guest DJs as well as the stars of the burgeoning Swedish progressive house scene are frequently found behind the decks. ACDC is owned and run by DJ Anti, who, for the last fifteen years, probably has been the most respected trance and progressive DJ in Scandinavia. He has played a crucial role for the development of the electronic dance scene in Sweden. Anti was among the first to organise raves in the early nineties as well as opening the very first dance music import store on the Swedish west coast. DJ Anti has held numerous residencies in Scandinavia as well as continuously playing abroad in every possible continent. A familiar face jetting from Brazil to Zambia, Japan to the USA, Australia to Poland, Greece to Mexico.
