Armada was created back in 2003 by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis, of which the first 2 letters of their names form nothing less than 'Armada'. The company celebrated its five year anniversary in 2008 and have brought a range of quality releases over the past years, which resulted in the 'Best Global Dance Label' title for 2009/2010, as awarded by the International Dance Music Awards. The Amsterdam-based label has worked with and managed the biggest names in dance music, like Markus Schulz, Stonebridge, Nick K, DJ Remy, M.I.K.E., DJ Shah, Max Graham, Andy Moor, Mischa Daniels, Simon & Shaker and of course Armin himself. Working together with the Armada team, these artists and their individual labels - Coldharbour Recordings, Ava Recordings, Pilot 6, Electronic Elements, Armind and A State Of Trance are just a selection of the 25 sub labels now residing under Armada. Together publishing over 1700 releases to the global music market.
