Gusto Recordings was created at the start of the new millennium, opening with the massive underground dance hit that was Hairy Diamond's "Givin Up".
By the first week of 2002 Gusto achieved the fantastic feat of No.2 in the official singles charts with the massive "Addicted to Base" single - well and truly establishing the label as a real contender in the very busy UK dance market.
The label has since continued to grow with a wide variety of releases and genres and is rarely out of the Top 5 of the UK's club charts. The label started 2005 on a very high - hitting the top reaches of the single sales charts with Uniting Nations and their re-working of the classic "Out of Touch" and their follow up single "You and Me".
Gusto set its sights high in 2006 with lots of signings, and more chart topping hits. The year kicked off straight away with the massive HI_TACK "Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U)" exploding in January, followed by FILTERFUNK "S.O.S (Message In A Bottle"). The summer saw the release of LOLEATTA HOLLOWAY "Love Sensation '06", JOHN PARR VS TOMMYKNOCKERS "New Horizon" and the unforgettable DAVID GUETTA VS THE EGG "Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)" reaching no.4 in the top Ten.
With 2007 already in its sights, the releases are lining up for the new year - definitely a space to watch.
