Aureal; Derek Ryan and Alex Fixed (Darren Flynn) (AKA Aureal) met in the early part of 2010, where a meeting of the minds was formed - Derek commissioned Alex to remix some of his forthcoming releases, and through that connection Aureal was born.
Aureal's first official release was a remix for Inspired Records (William De Wolf - Easy Come). Since then, and a lot of studio time later, Aureal have releases on Dirt, Lies & Audio and Redbox records, are currently working on a hard hitting vocal track featuring a secret new talent, and other exciting directions of new aural experience.
Recent Aureal supporters include Markus Schulz, who featured Black Ice in his Global DJ Broadcast radio show (one of the world's biggest online dance shows), Paul Webster, Suzy Solar, and many others.
Exciting times are ahead for Aureal as we come close to the end of 2011; and lots of new releases planned for 2012.
Hughes & Ballantine; After almost a decade away from each other, lifetime friends Craig Hughes and Alan Ballantine became reunited through their passion for dance music.
Ballantine has co-promoted the iNViTE club night in Monaghan for over two years and quickly welcomed Hughes to join the iNViTE team as a resident DJ in 2008. Both long-standing enthusiastic DJs with a sound that is an infusion of all things trance the two decided to focus more on the production side of the scene. With no previous knowledge or guidance the two learned everything from the basics to the more technical aspects over a period of 12 months leaning on some of the more experienced Irish producers for feedback.
With a number of releases on various labels including Discover Dark, Unearthed Records, Defcon, Redbox Records & Dirt,Lies & Audio. The duo are currently busy working on remix work and new original tracks. Also over the last 12 months they have gained support from some of the biggest names on the scene including Paul Oakenfold, John O'Callaghan, Indecent Noise, John Askew, Bjorn Akesson, Sly One & Jurrane, Gary Maguire, Neal Scarborough and many more. Redbox Records presents; Aureal - 'Freefall', a very sweet uplifting and driving progressive Trance number, with a remix from top Irish boys Hughes & Ballantine, giving us a tough tech Trance mix!
