Your Voice EP
'Your Voice' was a track originally demoed back in early 2000 but was put on hold whilst recording an influx of other projects and remixes at the time.
The track features all the electronic and anthemic elements you would expect from Blue Amazon but is also coupled with a hooky ethereal vocal and synth style melodies. Now more than 11 years down the line (and due to popular request from those who had heard it), it's been re-recorded and remixed for release.
Taking this on board, the original is a re working from a retrospective point of view containing the production style that people originally associated with Blue Amazon. It takes that very clean radio sound and mixes it with club energy and hooks which you are left hearing after it finishes. It's not as epic as the original BA recordings but does have that intro style start.
If the original is not your thing, there are five other mixes boarding across the transient side of house through to the current deeper sounding house.
The 'Deep Mix' drops the tempo down and works around a moody contemporary house vibe with filtered chords, a disco style bass line and atmospheric swirls / phases. It is very house driven but also has a laid back feel about it which could work in a cafe style setting.
'The Other Club Mix' is a full on transient progressive builder. It takes its influences from the epic progressive sound but contained with 7.31 mins. There's an anthemic breakdown which follows the trade mark for that sound but it's also bound together with tougher groove elements.
'The Tech Stomping Mix' says it all in the title! It's got a fun side to the sound building around a driving bass line, Techno esq synth works, filtered vocal samples and electro chord changes. This mix has more of a party atmosphere about it.
'Deeper to House Mix' also speaks for itself in the title, taking influences from the current deep house sound with more of a stripped down simplistic approach. It's worked around a subtle house bass line with some of the vocal effects from the original / acid sweeps before breaking into a classic house chord structure. It's got a cross boarder feel between the motorocity sound and classic instrumental house.
Finally we have the 'Deep Tech Mix' which is quite unique sounding in combining an original transient progressive bass line with deep house and being quite dynamic in its builds and breaks at the same time. This is defiantly one for the current flavour of deeper sounding progressive / tech house in the Bedrock / Renaissance area.
